Our Journey

When Two or More Are Gathered

Sistership in Christ began with a simple desire: to create a place where women could grow in their faith through learning and shared encouragement. As the ministry grew, so did our focus on providing educational resources that help women understand Scripture, strengthen their walk with God, and support one another in practical, meaningful ways. Today, Sistership in Christ exists to help women learn, grow, and share their faith with confidence one step at a time, one sister at a time. Zechariah 4:10 says to despise not small beginnings.

Our History

Established in 2022

Sistership in Christ began in 2022 as an interest meeting to collaborate on a ministry that would join Christian women from all backgrounds and walks of life. From there, a founding board was formed to begin the stages of building what would turn into a dynamic means of inspiring and uplifting women to walk in Christ. The ministry began with monthly lessons and fellowship that encouraged women to study God's Word and apply it to their lives. In 2023, the women began their first study on Women in the Bible. In 2024, they studied fruit of the Spirit. In this year, the ministry held its first in-person retreat, Teatime at the Lake, where Fruit of the Spirit was brought to life through conversation and encouragement. After studying a year of discipleship in 2025, the ministry transitioned to a new initiative to educating, supporting, and uplifting women as they carry out their callings in their lives and communities. This new initiative will be implemented in 2026 and will focus on providing educational support for women.

Our Future

New initiatives for 2026 and beyond

Sistership in Christ is entering a new season with a fresh rhythm designed to deepen spiritual growth and create space for women to live out their faith in daily life. Beginning next year, the ministry will transition from monthly to seasonal (quarterly) gatherings. These Seasonal Sister Time meetings will serve as opportunities to reconnect, reflect on what God has been doing, and encourage one another. In the months between, women are invited to slow down, listen for God’s voice, and intentionally practice what they are learning in their homes, workplaces, and relationships.

To support this shift, Sistership in Christ will provide online access to the year’s lessons and resources, allowing women to engage with the material at their own pace and in their own context. This new structure also creates space for the development of Sister Ministries—Spirit-led outreach or discipleship efforts started by women in their own communities. Whether a woman chooses to attend seasonal Sister Time gatherings, begin a Sister Ministry, join one that already exists, or simply follow along with the lessons online, she is invited to actively live out her calling. The heart of this initiative is to equip women to move forward in faith, knowing they are supported, encouraged, and never walking alone.

Our

Founders

It Takes a Team.

From our inception, Sistership in Christ has had a dedicated group of women who have worked to ensure our ministry is established in Christ and founded on His principles.

They have spent countless hours helping build the ministry from the ground up, giving insight, reviewing ideas, reading over newsletters, praying, and volunteering whenever they are needed. Without these women, Sistership in Christ would not be where it is today. For them, we are forever grateful and blessed.

“Every time I think of you, I give thanks to my God.” Philippians 1:3 (New Living Translation)
